The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Elemeno Pea by Molly Smith Metzler in the Sondra and Denis Healy Theatre, located in The Theatre School building at Racine and Fullerton. The production is directed by Brian Balcom, MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2016. Opening Night is Friday, February 13, and the production will run through Sunday February 22, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on February 11 and 12, at 7:30 PM.
About the play: Labor Day has come and gone on Martha's Vineyard when Devon arrives to visit her sister Simone at her place of employment: a grand estate on the island. When Simone's wealthy employer reappears in the midst of a marital crisis, the weekend is thrown into chaos. The conflict pits family against money in this struggle between the haves and the have-nots. Waves crash and sisters clash in this tumultuous comedy about the sacrifices we make to stay on top. Directed by Brian Balcom, MFA Class of 2016.

Brian Balcom (Director, Class of 2016) grew up in Minneapolis and has worked with Walking Shadow, Gremlin Theatre, The Playwrights' Center, and The New Theatre Group. He has assisted at The Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, and Actors' Theater of Louisville. Brian is an artistic associate of Park Square Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University.
