Elegy, a moving story that weaves through time and location, from Kristallnacht in Berlin to contemporary New York, dramatizes the perpetual torment of Holocaust survivors, the anguish felt by their Jewish American children and the conflict that occurs with the clash between the two generations.

New York-based actor David Wohl was cast to play the role of "Helmut." Wohl was recently seen in Last Will by Robert Brustein and directed by Austin Pendleton at New York's Abingdon Theatre. Wohl was also in Golden Boy by Clifford Odets and directed by Bartlett Sher at Lincoln Center Theater and in the recent Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof he played "Lazar Wolf." In addition to his theatrical work, Wohl has numerous film and television credits including Saving Private Ryan, Revenge of the Nerds, War of the Roses, Sophie's Choice, The Good Wife and Rescue Me among many others.

The full cast includes David Wohl, "Helmut;" Iris Lieberman, "Hilde," Justin Leider, "Jerry" and Bernard Beck, "Papa."

The production team is Grant Sabin, scenic design; Claire Chrzan, lighting design; Delia Ridenour, costume design; Scott Miller, sound design and Tina M. Jach, stage manager.
