E. Faye Butler Sings My Funny Valentine in Millennium Park 2/13

Valentine's Day comes a day early to Millennium Park when the popular series, Cabaret with a View returns to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on Monday, February 13, 2012 with the theater actress and singer E. Faye Butler in "My Funny Valentine." Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, the series offers audiences a chance to sit on the stage of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion to experience music in an intimate setting and a climate controlled environment.

Tickets are $25 which includes seating at cabaret tables on the Pritzker Pavilion's stage level and two complimentary drinks, and $15 for seats in the Pritzker's choral balcony. All tickets are available by calling 312.742.TIXS (8497) or by visiting www.millenniumpark.org.

The evening will include a night of romance, laughter and song by one of Chicago's favorite leading ladies and will feature classics from the great American songbook. Butler will be joined by Jeremy Kahn on piano and Eric Schneider on saxophone.

About the artist: "E. Faye Butler is an accomplished and decorated actress and singer who is proud to call Chicago her home. She has performed around the globe to international acclaim. Her many awards include six Joseph Jefferson Awards, a Helen Hayes Award, a Barrymore Award, three Black Theatre Alliance Awards, an Excellence in the Arts Award, an Ovation Award, a RAMI Award, and the 2011 Sarah Siddons Award. In 2012, she will be inducted into the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She has her own CD called "Circle of Firsts" and performs on her own in cabaret and theaters across the country."

Cabaret with a View continues with Paul Oakley Stovall's "The Next Best Thing to Love…" on Monday, March 12, 2012 and McKinley Carter's "Spring Forward/Fall Back" on Monday, April 9, 2012.
