The Chicago smash hit The Rosenkranz Mysteries: Physician Magician has been extended due to popular demand through June 17th at the Royal George Theatre Cabaret, 1641 N Halsted Street in Chicago. Lauded by the legendary magician Teller of Penn & Teller as "a cozy evening with your jovial doctor - who just happens to command some of the rarest and most beautiful illusions in the world," the production has also been touted by the Chicago Tribune as an "immensely likable, intelligent and very intimate show," and the Windy City Times proclaimed that it delivers "legendary illusions and vivacious visual display".

The award-winning Rosenkranz presents truly astounding illusions that captivate audiences in an intimate, cabaret style setting. The Rosenkranz Mysteries: Physician Magician highlights what the Chicago Tribune calls Rosenkranz' "healing power of magic," with signature pieces and performances brought to the stage to showcase magic that cannot be seen anywhere else. Teller added that the production is an "elegant soiree, a fireside chat entwined with brain-busting mysteries, conjured by a physician/magician, who sees the world through the double lens of medicine and magic."

Every "deliciously mysterious" illusion, as described by Chicagoland Theater Reviews, has been meticulously researched, created, and staged by Dr. Rosenkranz along with the nation's most elite and respected magicians including the late Eugene Burger (Director of Magic) whose credits include The Art of Magic on PBS and Mysteries of Magic on The Learning Channel; Jeff McBridge (Chief Magic Consultant) whose credits include being designated as Grand Prix of Magic winner in Monte Carlo; legendary magician Johnny Thompson (Magic Consultant) whose credits include Executive Director, Penn & Teller's Fool Us; and Chicago's premier Mentalist Ross Johnson (Magic Consultant); Jan Rose and Jordan Wright (Magic Team).

Following his sold-out run in Chicago during the winter of 2016, and prior to returning this Spring, Dr. Ricardo Rosenkranz performed for Penn & Teller's fool us in Las Vegas, and also completed a very successful run at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. In addition, Dr. Rosenkranz headlined at the Prestigious Magic Circle in London and was honored by The Magic Circle by being named Associate of the Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star. Rosenkranz is an award-winning and respected faculty member at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He has been fascinated by magic since a young age and has long been incorporating his illusions into his teaching as a way to help engage students and encourage participation. After winning several teaching awards and traveling the country to deliver seminars, Rosenkranz decided to bring his act to the stage in Chicago.

The Rosenkranz Mysteries: Physician Magician stars Dr. Ricardo Rosenkranz as "The Physician Magician", Jan Rose as "The Hostess" and Balsamo as himself. The show is directed by Northwestern graduate Jessica Fisch (Fefu and Her Friends at The Goodman Theatre/Rivendell Latina/o Celebration), and is produced by Opus Magica Music, LLC and Dr. Ricardo Rosenkranz. The artistic team includes script by Eugene Burger, Jessica Fisch and Dr. Ricardo Rosenkranz, Set Design by Chip Von Weise, Sets by Ravenswood Studio, Lighting Design by Jennifer Kules, Prop Design and Construction by John Gaughan, and Musical Direction by Craig Terry (Lyric Opera of Chicago).
