The Artistic Home is proud to announce its mainstage season for the 2009-2010 season. The season will open with the rarely produced DAYS TO COME from renowned playwright, Lillian Hellman, continue with the comedic classic THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH by Thorton Wilder, and close with the World Premiere of THE TALLEST MAN by Artistic Home Associate, Jim Lynch. The Artistic Home's Acting Studio will also produce two works this season to be announced at a later date.

Days to Come by Lillian Hellman, directed by Artistic Director, Kathy Scambiatterra: Filled with love, power, intrigue, and murder, this rarely produced work from one of America's premiere female playwrights, tells the story of a priveleged Midwestern family who must wrestle with the opposing forces of organized labor and union busters when employees at their small factory go on strike -- threatening their fortune, their friendships, and possibly their very existence. Exploring the intersection between the political and the personal, Days to Come examines the struggle for self-determination and the potential fallout that ensues when the disempowered begin to question traditional notions of class and gender.

Days to Come will run October 18 through November 29, 2009, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. Previews are October 13 through 17 at 8:00pm. The play is a testament to the resiliency and fortitude of the human spirit from one of America's most celebrated playwrights.
