Eclipse Theatre Company's 2009 Season: The Celebration Series Part II begins with REBECCA GILMAN'S BLUE SURGE, directed by Anish Jethmalani

Eclipse Theatre Company's 2009 season: The Celebration Series Part II premieres with a rare revival of one of Rebecca Gilman's most controversial plays.

The story of two small-town cops who try to arrest and then help a pair of prostitutes working at a local massage parlor, Blue Surge examines issues of class and social dynamics with brutal honesty and surprising humor. Gilman explores the small space between hope and hopelessness as her characters struggle to find an American Dream in which they can believe.

Eclipse Theatre is proud to present the Midwest's first look at Gilman's 2002 revised version of Blue Surge that premiered in New York.
