Cold Basement Dramatics' third annual short play festival, Secret Stash III, is a showcase for local theatre artists with eight plays directed by eight Chicago directors and many Chicago actors. The festival takes place at The Frontier Theatre off the Thorndale Redline stop this weekend, May 9, 10, and 11.
The festival also serves as a fundraiser for Cold Basement Dramatics; funds will support upcoming performances of The Half-Life of Memory by Jason Lindner and directed by Sophie Blumberg, opening June 6 at the DCA Storefront Theatre. The Half-Life of Memory is made possible thanks to an In The Works grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Tickets for Secret Stash III are on sale now at secretstash.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the door.
