Lecherous Honey was commissioned by c*ckand Bull to create a contemporary, multimedia adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts. "Ibsen's work pushed the boundaries of sexuality in his time period. I wanted to work with a playwright who does the same. Megan Breen dives head first into work that is taboo and risk-taking," states Artistic Director and founder Chris Garcia Peak. Playwright Megan Breen found Ibsen's play to be a perfect starting point for working with c*ckand Bull. "Ghosts boldly exhibits the qualities of my ideal theatrical experience - dangerous, raw and provocative," she says. "It is fearless in its exploration of the taboo and relentless in its tackling of the secrets inside of that taboo. c*ckand Bull are unafraid to take risks to explore all the possibilities of what theatrical storytelling can give us, and are the perfect bunch of theatre-makers to collaborate with on this investigation of Ibsen's unearthing of personal/sexual taboos and family secrets."

Lecherous Honey will be performed in multiple locations in the Berger Park North Mansion (The Gunder House), a century-old historic mansion, allowing small audiences of no more than 25 to intimately access the secret world of Mrs. Alving's mind, in a way becoming the very "ghosts" in Ibsen's source material.

Tickets: $25-$30 general admission; $15 students and industry; $15 preview. Soon available at cockandbulltheatre.org.
