Chicago's 'Monday Nights New Voices' Begins 9/29

Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago will present the song cycle, Homemade Fusion, for  Broadway Cares – Equity Fights AIDS, on September 29, 2008 at the Chicago Center for Performing Arts main stage.

Keeping in their tradition of honoring new composers, the series, produced by David Tomczak, is proud to announce that this month will feature the songwriting team of composer, Michael Kooman, and lyricist, Christopher Dimond, by presenting their popular song cycle: Homemade Fusion.

Joining the evening will be director Jessica Redish, who just finished directing Green Eyes - The Musical, at the New York Fringe Festival and movement/assistant directing Adding Machine, A Musical.

The series is also proud to announce Keith Dworkin as the evening's Music Director and Jersey Boys' Larry Baker as the evening's Stage Manager.

Homemade Fusion, produced by David Tomczak, will feature a cast composed of several performers from Broadway In Chicago shows, such as: Wicked's - Betsy Struxness, Charlie Hagerty, Mindy Reid ,Michelle London and Kevin Yee, Jersey Boys' - Alyana Gallo, Craig Laurie, Rashad Naylor, Michael Ingersoll  and 25th Annual .. Spelling Bee's - Roberta Duchak, The Buddy Holly Story's – Alan Schmuckler and Karen Marie Richardson, and Chicago favorites, Andi Bohs, Donica Lynn, Elana Ernst, Janelle Kroll, and Missy Karle.

This is a great chance to not only meet the promising composing team but to see some of your favorite performers from your favorite shows! Be sure to come out and enjoy an evening of wonderful talent performing quality music, all in support of a great charity!

The Chicago Center for Performing Arts is located at 777 North Green Street, Chicago, IL. 60622. Tickets are $15 for students and industry members and $25 general admission. The show starts at 7:30.
