The Theatre School at DePaul University will present A WRINKLE IN TIME, by Madeleine L'Engle, adapted by John Glore, and directed by Ernie Nolan, as the first installment of the 2012-2013 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series.  This production opens Tuesday, October 23, and runs through Saturday, December 1, 2012, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM.  There will be no performances on November 20, 22, 23, or 24.  An additional performance will be held on November 28 at 10AM.

Celebrating 50 years in publication, A WRINKLE IN TIME has been inspiring young minds for decades! Heroine Meg Murry and her brother Charles Wallace have a mission: travel through space and time to save their scientist father. Will brains, bravery, love, and the help of neighbor Calvin O'Keefe make it possible to stand up to evil and save the universe? Based on the beloved Newbery Award-winning book, this classic tale reminds us that sometimes-even in the vastness of the cosmos-the right answer comes from within.

This production is recommended for ages 8 and up.  Educational themes of A WRINKLE IN TIME include: Adaptation, Astronomy, Family, Relationships, Female Role Models, Problem Solving, Power, Science-Fiction, and Self Confidence.
