On Thursday, May 16, Chicago Opera Theater (COT) is celebrating their 39th Anniversary Gala at the West Loop's interactive restaurant and event space, City Winery (1200 W. Randolph) from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Hosted by COT co-chairs Dale Connelly & Donna Van Eekeren and Roger & Julie Baskes, guests of the Gala will enjoy a behind the scenes look into the world of Chicago Opera Theater and an exclusive preview of the upcoming, unannounced 2014 opera season. Guests at the Gala will be the first to find out COT's 2014 operatic season with a sneak peek into its thrilling music. Renowned singers Suzan Hanson (soprano) and Nmon Ford (baritone) and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra will perform scintillating excerpts from the 2014 repertoire, giving guests an exclusive sneak peek into what Chicago can expect to see next year.
Tickets are $375 for the Gala and $250 for a Young Professional or Non-profit ticket. Proceeds will support COT's groundbreaking productions of rare and new operas, as well as their dynamic arts education and artist training programming.
