Give a child on the autism spectrum the gift of flight and memories to last a lifetime at Chicago Children's Theatre's Red Kite, Blue Sky, the company's annual multi-sensory live theater experience created just for children with autism and their families, tonight, February 21 through March 4, 2015 at Chicago's Millennium Park.

At Red Kite, Blue Sky, children embark on a bird watching adventure to the City in the Clouds where the Owl, Blue Jay, Hummingbird and Hawk reveal the exciting mysteries of Grandfather Sky. While seated in patches of soft pillow clouds, children will help the birds set into motion the natural order of things with an interactive rain dance and a maypole rainbow parade. With winter comes snow, and with snow - a snow ball fight! Then when everyone's nice and tuckered out, actors and audiences will serenade the emerging stars together with a lovely lullaby, while a new constellation forms that promises to shine on forever.

Red Kite, Blue Sky, part of Chicago Children's Theatre's ongoing Red Kite Project for children with autism, runs Feb. 21-Mar. 4, 2015 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion Choral Rehearsal Room, 201 E. Randolph St. in Chicago's Millennium Park. Weekend times are Saturday and Sunday Feb. 21 and 22, and Feb. 28 and March 1, at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Weekday times are Wed., Thurs. and Fri., Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

Tickets are $20 per child, plus one caregiver. A limited amount of observation seats are available at $10 each. Red Kite, Blue Sky is appropriate for children ages 5 to 14.
