Psssst, Chicago's very youngest theatergoers, ages 2 to 5: Chicago Children's Theatre is introducing a fun new educational arts experience just for you.
Tell your parents to get tickets to The World Inside Me, a fun, totally new form of toddler-centric theater that follows human development from birth through age five the age span of its pre-K participants.
Chicago Children's Theatre's The World Inside Me is a musical, sensory celebration of the human body. Kids explore cells, senses, intestines and each of their unique selves through this delightful new musical designed specifically for Chicago's very youngest audiences. Part art, part science, The World Inside Me is your child's ideal first live theater experience - an interactive, highly entertaining work that stimulates youngsters' creativity and curiosity along the way.
Performances are February 3-March 9, 2019, Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Press are invited to opening weekend performances, Saturday or Sunday, February 9 or 10 at 9:30 a.m. Single tickets are $35. Chicago Children's Theatre, The Station, is located at 100 S. Racine Ave. in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. The Station is minutes from I-90 and I-290, as well as downtown and Ashland Avenue.
Chicago Children's Theatre offers free onsite parking on the south side of the building, entering from Racine Ave. Additional street parking is usually readily available nearby on weekends, or look for the Impark parking lot, 1301 W. Madison St.
Access Weekend for The World Inside Me is Saturday and Sunday, February 23 and 24. ASL interpretation and Open Captioning will be available Saturday, February 23 at 9:30 a.m. The Sunday, February 24, 9:30 a.m. performance will be sensory-friendly. A quiet room and family restroom will be available.
