Chicago Children's Theatre is making it easy for kids to try a theater class - and for their parents to slip out for a cup of coffee or to run a quick errand - with its new Stay & Play class, every Saturday during the fall run of its world premiere family musical, Leo Lionni's Frederick.
After Frederick ends, it's your child's turn to take center stage with Chicago Children's Theatre's new Stay & Play. Whether your child is a star-to-be or experiencing theater for the first time, let your child pretend, invent and set their imaginations free with Stay & Play.
Professional teaching artists from Chicago Children's Theatre's Theatre Skills Training Studio will teach Stay & Play classes following the 11 a.m. matinees of Frederick on Saturday, October 25, November 1, November 8 and November 15. Stay & Play classes are only $5. Classes begin at noon and run for thirty minutes. Register in advance by or just drop in after the show.
Or sample a class for free when CCT hosts a free Stay & Play demo class on opening weekend, this Saturday, October 18 from 5:15 to 5:45 pm, before the 6 p.m. performance of Frederick.
