The Chicago Bar Association will present the 90th annual Bar Show, the longest running annual, original musical revue in Chicago and probably the nation. This year's parody of local and national political, sports and entertainment notables and issues is The Merry Old Land of Lawz.

The talented, versatile cast of 60 attorneys will wow audiences with their singing and dancing as they lampoon everyone and everything from Barack Obama to gun control to online dating. The Bar Show's not just for lawyers. Everyone who keeps up with current events will enjoy hearing Lisa Madigan and Deb Mell sing "A Dad Like That" to "A Boy Like That" from West Side Story and Governor Pat Quinn and Mayor Rahm Emmanuel opine about same sex marriage to the tune of "Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead:" No doubt fans of The Wizard of Oz will hear the Mayor of Munchkinland in their heads as Rahm and his aides say,

As mayor of the Windy City,

In the county of the land of Cook,

I welcome you so regally.

But we've got to verify it legally.

To see-

To see-

If he-

And he-

Are morally, ethically,

Spiritually, physically,

Positively, absolutely,

Undeniably and reliably wed.

In addition to songs from popular musicals such as Wicked and The Sound of Music, the creative team also takes on current hits, such as Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Macklemore and Lewis's "Thrift Shop." From the prevalence of zombies on TV and in movies to Edward Snowden to Obamacare, Paula Deen and Dennis Rodman's friendship with Kim Jong Un, The Bar Show has it all.

Jeff and Emmy Award winning director and choreographer Marla Lampert says, "I appreciate the long tradition of the show, and marvel at those who've been a part of it for several decades. We call it our "Bar Show Family." It's a wonderful group of people who come together year after year to sing, dance and connect with friends and colleagues. All in all, it's great fun and a great showcase of amazing talent."
