Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome Charles Ross back to the stage! This time around, the talented Canadian actor and uber-geek will perform not just one, but three hilarious one-man parody shows! This one-man weekend hits the stage on February 8 & 9, 2019.
"Holy trilogy, Batman! Charles Ross will absolutely have you in stitches from beginning to end of three glorious shows," says Raue Center Board President Tim Paul. "He is a rare talent and you want to catch these one-of-a-kind one-man shows!"
Why so serious? The weekend of one-man shows begins with a one-man parody and homage to "The Dark Knight" at 8 p.m. on February 8, 2019. Two-faced super-nerd, Ross, lovingly tears Christopher Nolan's masterpiece a new one in his new "One-Man Dark Knight: A Batman Parody." No costumes, no sets, no Batmobiles. Ross takes the audience on a one-hour comedic joyride, from Batman's origins to his epic battles against Gotham's super-villains. Hold onto your utility belt!
Ross then takes Raue Center on a fun, frenetic trip to a galaxy far, far away. Ross brings his solo madcap creation, "One-Star Wars Trilogy," to the stage in a mind-bending whirlwind of a show at 3 p.m. on February 9, 2019. Ross retells the classic bad hair trilogy in 60 minutes - no costumes, no props, no sets - all the characters, the music, the ships and the battles. The Force is strong with this one.
Ross rounds out the weekend with "One-Man Lord of the Rings" at 8 p.m. on February 9, 2019. Ross recreates the enchanting world of Middle-earth with nothing more than elbow pads and his outrageous imagination. With booming special effects, riveting stage fights and harrowing rescues, the gifted performer does it all in this engaging, epic one-man show.
From Gotham City, to a galaxy far, far away, and to the Black Gate of Mordor, this weekend of one-man shows will take audiences on a hilarious journey through three iconic trilogies!
Tickets start at $25 and may be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
