The Comrades have announced their Winter 2017 production, PRELUDE TO A KISS by Craig Lucas. This classic romantic comedy will be directed by Artistic Director Derek Bertelsen and will play the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago) from January 12 through February 4, 2017. Press opening is Saturday, January 14 at 8:00pm.

In this modern day fairy tale, an uninvited guest turns a perfect wedding into a white-knuckled rollercoaster ride of doubt and regret. When an elderly "wedding crasher" kisses the bride, their souls exchange, leaving the brave but bewildered groom to reverse the curse armed only with the power of love. When it first premiered, Prelude To A Kiss received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1991.

"Nearly thirty years after its premiere, this play still hits close to home. In a world full of complicated relationships, I am excited to bring a fresh production of this classic romantic comedy to Chicago," said Artistic Director Derek Bertelsen.
