The Jedlicka Performing Arts Center will present the Chicago Regional Premiere of the Broadway musical A TALE OF TWO CITIES at their 250-seat theatre just outside the Chicago city limits. JPAC is one of the first theatres in the country to be granted the rights to produce this show after its Broadway run, which, according to the Associated Press was "...awash in sound and fury! A TALE OF TWO CITIES marks the return to the era of big blockbusters such as 'Les Miserables,' 'Phantom,' and 'Miss Saigon.'"

Charles Cowen, Amy Brophy and James Nedrud lead a Chicagoland cast of 30 in JPAC's production of the Broadway musical that Talk Entertainment called "...epic, electrifying musical theatre at its grandest!"

A TALE OF TWO CITIES will be directed by JPAC Artistic Director Dante Orfei with Choreography by Christie Kerr, Scenic Design by Michael Nedza, Costume Design by Joelle Beranek and Multimedia Design by Micheal Kott. Music direction is by Adam Gustafson who will conduct a 12 piece live orchestra.

Now in its 29th season, JPAC has developed a reputation for outstanding productions of large-scale Broadway and West End musicals. JPAC produced the Chicago Premiere productions of The Baker's Wife, Blood Brothers, The Who's Tommy, Jekyll & Hyde, Aspects of Love and We Will Rock You as well as the North American Premiere production of Academy Award winner Joseph Brooks' Metropolis.

A TALE OF TWO CITIES opens April 23rd at 7:30pm and plays Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 through May 8th with 3pm Matinees on Sunday April 25th and Sunday May 2nd. Tickets are $8 - $15 and are available on-line at www.jpactheatre.com, or by calling JPAC's box-office at 708-656-1800.
