Broadway In Chicago and the producers of CHICAGO The Musical are delighted to announce that John O'Hurley will star as Billy Flynn in a limited engagement of the hit musical, CHICAGO, beginning February 25, 2009 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph St).   CHICAGO will be extending its previously announced limited run for an additional week through March 8, 2009.  Individual tickets go on-sale to the public on Friday, December 5 at 10 a.m.  Group tickets are currently available by calling (312) 977-1710.

John O'Hurley is a veteran of both television and film, and an accomplished stage actor, most recently completing a two-year stint as the head of the Round Table, King Arthur, in Eric Idle's hilarious musical Monty Python's Spamalot in Las Vegas at the Grail Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.  Best known as "J. Peterman" on "Seinfeld," O'Hurley also appeared on the first season of "Dancing With The Stars" in 2005, and then went on to star as Billy Flynn in CHICAGO on Broadway and in a previous US National Tour.

Murder. Greed. Corruption. Violence. Exploitation. Adultery. Treachery. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO has become a worldwide phenomenon. The London production of CHICAGO continues to hold the record as the longest running American Musical in West End history.
