BrightSide Theatre continues its Second Season with the entertaining Modern Masterpiece and Tony Award winning comedy "God of Carnage" by Yasmina Reza, and translated by Christopher Hampton.

What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behavior of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums, and tears before bedtime? These answers can be found in this Tony Award winning comedy of no manners that goes for every kind of laugh in the book. This fast, furious and very funny modern masterpiece like all great dramas gets to the core of human emotion and unleashes them onstage like you've never seen before as these four "adults" try to work out their differences.

Director Derek Bertelsen says "God of Carnage is a modern masterpiece because it gets at the core of the human emotion like all great dramas do. But, unlike the classics like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof or Death of a Salesman, we get to see modern day characters onstage that we can all relate to. And they unleash their emotions onstage like you've never seen before. It's a comedy of manners, without the manners. I think audiences will love this show because the characters get to do things onstage that most of us would never imagine doing. It's a very fun and exciting show and I can't wait to bring it to the BrightSide stage!"
