Premiere Theatre & Performance (PTAP) will remount its acclaimed 2008 production of Botho Strauss' SEVEN DOORS, a modern, comic look at the ways in which we connect and disconnect in the modern world, with a view to the beyond. Performances will take place at the DANK Haus, the German cultural center located at 4740 N. Western, second floor, in Lincoln Square.

Strauss is one of Germany's most produced playwrights and one of its most prolific. The 2008 production was a US premiere, in a translation by the late Peter K. Jansen of the University of Chicago.

SEVEN DOORS continues PTAP's commitment to present new international work, in the spirit of its highly successful International Voices Project.

DANK Haus has embarked on a historic façade renovation. Consequently, the entrance to the performance is now under scaffolding!

The cast includes: Jennifer Cox, Robert Dean, Jeff Dolecek, David Ello, Hank Hilbert, Christopher Leck and Anna Stevens.

Set design is by Andrea Ball, lighting design by Mac Vaughey, Sound design by Daniel Carlyon and Costume design by Carol J. Blanchard, USA. Assistant Direction is by Adam McDowell (who will also direct one of the vignettes), stage management by Sonita Surratt.
