After Dark award winners, Beckie Menzie & Tom Michaels, bring an evening of sensational music to the Village Players Performing Arts Center on July 11, 2009.

"Better Two-gether" features Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael's most requested songs from their many critically-acclaimed shows as well as some brand new arrangements they will debut on the Oak Park stage. The show will feature innovative and unique versions of such classics as "Blue Moon," "Celebrate Me Home," and a tribute to Simon and Garfunkle. You will hear songs by such beloved composers as Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, Carole King and Gershwin. From Broadway and the Silver Screen to the American Popular Songbook, "Better Two-gether" promises to make you laugh, touch your heart and leave you thoroughly entertained.

Hailed by Cabaret Scenes Magazine as one of the "Top Ten Cabaret Acts," Menzie & Michael have appeared on some of the country's most prestigious stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Their recording efforts have been praised by Billboard Magazine, BackStage, Show Business Weekly and Playbill and their latest CD, "Better Two-gether," has been hailed by critics as "magic," "sensational," and "...the year's best recording."

In what they call a "musical marriage," Menzie and Michael delight audiences with their rare chemistry, inventive arrangements and genuine love for music and for one another.
