Eclipse Theatre Company, the only Midwest theatre company to feature one playwright in one season, will conclude its 25th Anniversary 2017 Kia Corthron Season this fall with a production of her 2000 play Breath, Boom, with Mignon McPherson Stewart directing.

Prix, the leader of a violent girls' gang, makes booms on the street and loves booms in the sky: fireworks. But her destructive workaday world is gradually turned upside down by actions of her mother and of her "sisters," and by confrontations with the consequences of her past. Breath, Boom was commissioned by The Royal Court Theatre, London.

Breath, Boom runs approximately two hours and fifteen minutes with one ten-minute intermission. Post-show discussions with the cast and crew will be held following all Sunday matinees except opening and closing weekends (free with paid ticket).
