BLACKOUTpresents: White People at iO Cabaret Theatre

The Critically acclaimed, all african american, improv group, BLACKOUT, with their high-energy, long form improv show, BLACKOUTpresents: White People, has been a huge success since moving to iO's Cabaret Theatre on 3541 N. Clark St and has now been EXTENDED indefinitely!!! Kicking off the evening is Challenger, a team of iO veterans. Both groups can be seen every Saturday at midnight with the admission of only $5 (Seriously one of the best deals in Chicago's vast comedy scene).

Members of BLACKOUT include Sherman Edwards, Darwin Smith, Ramon Smith and Warren Phynix Johnson. The group's experience extends from Chicago's premiere improv and theatre venues such as iO Chicago, Annoyance Theatre, ComedySportz Chicago, Second City Chicago, among others. You can also listen to their radio show, BLACKOUTpresents: Radio, every Thursday at 6pm on NPR's affiliate station 89.5 FM | Vocalo.org. Formed to bring the voice of the African American people to the improv stage, BLACKOUT reclaims a largely unheard perspective in this genre of entertainment.

Again, admission for the show is only $5, and tickets are available by phone at (773) 880-0199 or on-line at www.ticketweb.com.

More information can be found at BLACKOUTcomedy.com and ioimprov.com.
