A veteran of the illustrious Second City Touring Company, McHugh has appeared at New York City's Carnegie Hall, Birdland, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Singer, writer, actor, and comedienne Colleen McHugh began her career with Chicago's illustrious Second City Touring Company. She gained acclaim writing and starring in her own award-winning cabaret shows including Tales of Revenge and Regret, Keeping Up Appearances, and Songs of Self-Delusion. McHugh made her Carnegie Hall debut in Michael Feinstein's Now and Then concert series, as well as appearing at New York City's Birdland and Jazz at Lincoln Center. She is the recipient of a Back Stage Bistro Award for Best Entertainer, After Dark Award for Outstanding Cabaret Artist, four MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Award nominations, and is a Nightlife Award finalist. Her second album, Pret-a-Porter: Cole Porter's French Connections won a Broadway World Award for Best CD, along with McHugh earning a Broadway World Award for Best Vocalist. Artists Lounge Live is a dynamic concert series which offers audiences tremendous talent in an intimate light. Singers craft their own concerts, peppering humorous and poignant stories into their repertoire of beloved musical memories. These evenings play like a backstage tour of Broadway life. The series is produced by affable crooner Michael Ingersoll. Michael is a performer himself, currently touring internationally with the retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp. He co-produced the quartet's two live PBS concert specials, as well as several successful music events for venues including Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Northlight Theatre, and Paramount Theatre; and philanthropic organizations including American Cancer Society, United Way, and Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
