THE AMERICAN DEMIGODS announce STORY POTLUCK, a special performance event running concurrently with their upcoming production of Reina Hardy's ERRATICA.

Bring your story to the party. In this three-week Thursday-night slam-style event, six audience members will get five minutes each to tell a true story from their own lives, competing for fabulous prizes and a chance to move on to the championship round. Each week will feature a different celebrity host, and a different theme inspired by the Demigod's current theatrical production, "Erratica." On April 28th, Cameron Esposito, queen of comedy at the Lincoln Lodge and ringmaster of El Circo Cheap, will hear all about your worst "Mistakes." On May Fifth, Robyn Pennachia, scintillating host of the Sunday Night Sex Show, presents a night of "Lust." Finally, on May 12th, J.W. Basilo, nationally ranked slam poet, asks what inspires you with a night of stories
related to "Poetry."

The championship round will take place during our gala show closing party at 5pm on Sunday May 15th, which will feature short plays, music and more.

Your Thursday nights have never been this unexpected.

The show runs from 10pm to 11 on 4/28, 5/5 and 5/12, $5 suggested donation, or free with your
ticket to "Erratica" at 8pm.

It's all going down at the Second Stage Theater, 3408 N. Sheffield, in Chicago Illinois!

Tips for Storytellers: No notes allowed! DO decide on your first line and your last line, and have a clear idea of where you're going, but DON'T write it down and memorize it. That really kills the vibe. Instead, try it out loud, and time yourself to make sure its five minutes or less. Remember, you don't have a lot of time, so start in the middle of the action.

Tips for non-Storytellers: Arrive early, bring a snack and/or a thermos of your favorite beverage, and prepare for a night where anything can happen.
