THE AMERICAN DEMIGODS proudly present the Chicago premiere of ERRATICA, an academic farce by Reina Hardy.

Bad poetry, good sex, and severe academic misconduct.

Professor Samantha Stafford just wants to write a very serious book on Shakespeare. But one of her students is madly in love with her, her publicist wants her to do something more commercial, and she is persistently haunted by an entity claiming to be the ghost of Christopher Marlowe. Meanwhile, Jack Hooper, the university's most rugged and studly librarian, has lost a prized manuscript to a mysterious thief. Can Stafford prove her innocence, clear her mind, finish her book and keep her pantsuit on? Find out in this oversexed and overeducated farce.

Erratica received its professional world premiere in Sacramento California in July, 2009 where it
received rave reviews from critics. "Intelligent, fresh fun"-Sacramento Bee, "Hardy is an exciting new talent... Five out of five stars"-Sacramento News and Review "This play is a must see, bawdy, smart and unforgettable"-Sacramento Press

Cast includes Victoria Bucknell (Vanishing Points, Point of Contention Theatre; Scenes of a Lovelike
Nature, Chicago Fringe) Lisa Herceg (The Nerdy Girl and the Intergalactic Dog, Rascal Children's Theatre; Personal Penchants, Bailiwick) John Luzar (Men of Steel, Theater Wit; Lion in Winter, Timeline) Kelly Yacono (The Dining Room, Appetite Theatre; Breast in Show, GayCo Productions) and David Wilhelm (The Irrelevant Adventures of Jarvis McFadden, American Demigods, Bad Guys in Suits, Hobo Junction).

The play is directed by Dan Foss, who has previously directed for Babes With Blades, Point of
Contention, Rogue Theatre, and Women's Theatre Alliance.

Author Reina Hardy most recently helped co-write The Dream Journal of Dr. Jekyll for the Mammals, which premiered in March of 2011. This spring, her work will be featured at the Orlando
Shakespeare New Playfest, and the Great Plains Theatre Conference. Her next Chicagoland project
is a commission from Fox Valley Rep in Saint Charles for their "Collider" project this July. Hardy is
also founder of the Viola Project, Chicago's Shakespeare performance workshop for girls.

Erratica is produced through special arrangement with the playwright and Original Works Publishing.

The American Demigods' most recent production, The Irrelevant Adventures of Jarvis McFadden was called "quirky and charming" by Centerstage Chicago and praised for its "raw honesty and offbeat intelligence" by the Chicago Reader.

The show will be performed every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8pm between April 21st
and May 14th, 2011 at the Second Stage, 3408 N. Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL. Tickets will be
available April 1st, for $15 at americandemigods.com.

-Special note: The 4/28, 5/5 and 5/12 performances will be followed by the American Demigods'
first-ever Story Potluck, a slam-style storytelling event inspired by the themes of Erratica and hosted by local stars of comedy and literature. $5 or free with "Erratica" ticket.
