Having already arranged to fill New Edgecliff Theatre's recently vacated Cincinnati Directors Competition slot with their highly-regarded 2010 Cincy Fringe favorite, "Aberrant Reflections on the Barbarism of You & I", Artemis Exchange hasjust been informed that the innovative show been accepted for inclusion in this year's Chicago Fringe, set for Sept. 1-11.

NET executive Director Michael Shooner says, "We're very happy for the Artemis folks and are excited that we're able to give local audiences an encore look at this terrific show before it hits the road to Chicago."

"Aberrant..." is the creation of co-writers Wesselman, Mike Miller and Christopher Karr, adapted from Karr's novel-inprogress.The show utilizes high-camp physical comedy to deliver some very high-brow ideas - as their own description states: "...to address the secrets, lies, myths, and truths behind eons of humanity's barbarism". Three individuals are "captives of a nameless, faceless theatrical autocrat as he continues to force them to perform scenes of a seemingly random and sardonic nature." These scenes touch on religion, politics, relationships and conspiracy theories - all in the thrill-ride pace of controlled chaos.

In a CityBeat review last year, Tom McElfresh said, "...it's seriously funny - with laughter rumbling up from insideprovocative reinterpretations of familiar parables and fables. It's the sort of laughter that might burn your throat a little as it forces you to think about things you don't necessarily go to the theater to think about."

The show's performers include co-author Chris Wesselman, as well as Chris Dooley and Emma Robertson.
