Tired of spending New Year's Eve snoozing on the couch while the ball drops on TV? You're in luck! Join Raue Center For The Arts as they welcome in the New Year with an amazing evening of rock-n-roll with "A Rockin' New Year's Eve with Jimmy Nick & Don't Tell Mama!" The NYE celebration starts at 8 p.m. on December 31, 2017.

"I grew up in Crystal Lake, so it is absolutely exciting to play on the finest stage in McHenry County. As we continue to climb to the next musical level, I still love playing for family, friends and new fans who become friends," says Nick. "The boys and I are looking forward to playing to a sold-out hometown crowd and continue the tradition of ringing in the New Year with Raue Center."

Your musical host for the evening is Chicagoland's favorite old-fashioned, guitar-slinging blues prodigy, Jimmy Nick. He combines his massive talent and stage theatrics with high-energy blues and rock-n-roll for electrifying guitar to create one of the most exhilarating live shows in the Chicagoland area.

Jimmy Nick began developing his chops in famous Chicago clubs when he was only 16. He has played at Buddy Guy's Legends, Kingston Mines, Rosa's Lounge, B.L.U.E.S. on Halstead, and has shared the stage with some of the best talent in the industry, including John Mayall, Ted Nugent, Los Lonely Boys, Savoy Brown, Pat Travers, Gov't Mule, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and many more. These experiences combined with his boundless energy and stage presence have established Jimmy Nick as a force that is taking the Chicago club and blues scene by storm!

Jimmy Nick will be joined on stage by his band, Don't Tell Mama, for this rockin' New Year's Eve show. Don't Tell Mama is comprised of Chicagoland's elite musicians, including world-renowned drummer, Brady Williams, 2016 Chicago Blues Hall of Fame bassist, Kenny Hampton, and the talented Rodney Brown on saxophone.

"Jimmy's high-octane, take no prisoners showmanship is rare in the world of music and he is a rising star in the world of blues. Jimmy has grown out of Crystal Lake to become a dominant figure throughout the Chicago region and he is starting to grow on the national scene as well," says Raue Center Executive Director, Richard Kuranda. "The audience LOVES him and his performances are arguably the hottest blues shows we have ever presented at Raue Center."

Send 2017 out with a bang at this can't-miss show! Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
