JERSEY BOYS and MARY POPPINS will make 1776 half price tickets available through the League of Chicago Theatres' Hot Tix program beginning Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available only to select performances Fourth of July week and will be available for purchase through Hot Tix at www.HotTix.org and at either one of the two Hot Tix booth locations (72 E. Randolph St. and 163 E. Pearson St.) while supplies last. Broadway In Chicago has created this offer in conjunction with the League of Chicago Theatres which provides services and support to over 200 Chicagoland theaters.
JERSEY BOYS, now in its second smash year at Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.), tells the story of
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.
JERSEY BOYS will have a limited number of half-price tickets for the following performances:
July 4 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; July 5 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and July 7 at 7:30 p.m.
MARY POPPINS, playing through July 12 only at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.), features the two original Broadway stars,
Ashley Brown as "Mary Poppins" and
Gavin Lee as "Bert." A co-production by Disney and
Cameron Mackintosh, this stage production is based on
P.L. Travers' cherished stories and the classic 1964
Walt Disney film.
MARY POPPINS will have a limited number of half-price tickets for the following performances:
July 4 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; July 5 at 6:30 p.m.; and July 7 at 7:30 p.m.
