16th Street's Benefit B.A.S.H. Call For Letters From Heroes

16th Street Theater announces its annual Benefit B.A.S.H. (Berwyn Art Starts Here) on Saturday, July 7 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Rd in Berwyn. Live music under the tent, delicious food, silent auction and raffles for fabulous experiences. This year's theme is Letters from Our Heroes and we invite all to submit their own treasured letters, written in any language, by their heroes to be read by actors at the event.

"16th Street is turning to you for letters from your heroes," states Artistic Director Ann Filmer. "Yes, we really mean YOU. That treasured letter in your basement, attic, kept in a box under your bed, or stored in your email. They sent it from your childhood home or while overseas. You received it after graduation or before your wedding. What did they write? Will you share it with us?"

Letters may be written by service members as well as other heroes in your life who have inspired you: a teacher, a sibling, your mother. Send us a funny, touching, witty or wise letter they wrote that best captures who they are, or were, by June 18. Excerpts of chosen letters will be read aloud by actors (anonymously if one prefers) at 16th Street's Benefit B.A.S.H. on Saturday July 7 1:00 - 4:00 PM at FitzGerald's.

Send copies of handwritten or typed letters (or emails) from any year in any language to: North Berwyn Park District, 1619 Wesley Ave, Berwyn, IL, 60402 OR scan and email to letters@16thstreettheater.org by June 18. Those whose letters are chosen receive one complimentary ticket to the Benefit B.A.S.H July 7.
