101.9fm THE MIX / WTMX Chicago will present a free After 5 Live concert with hometown hero and American Idol winner Lee Dewyze at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 29, at the Hard Rock Café (corner of Clark and Ontario streets in Chicago) in support of the not-for-profit Ravinia Festival's REACH*TEACH*PLAY education programs. This all-ages concert is limited to the first 500 guests. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Ravinia also partners with Bonneville Radio (WTMX, WILV and WDRV) and Wintrust Financial Banks to provide music fans the opportunity to give back to the community this holiday season by donating new or used musical instruments at 27 participating bank drop-off sites in the Chicago area from November 29 through

December 19. Ravinia and Bonneville Radio will also be present at the Ogilvie Transportation Center (500 West Madison Street in Chicago) between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, to collect instruments. Donors who drop off an instrument at this location will also receive a lawn pass good for two admissions to the 2011 Ravinia Festival season while supplies last. All instruments will be donated to students who participate in Ravinia's free REACH*TEACH*PLAY education programs.

Ravinia Festival connects music to thousands of families around Chicago through multi-tiered education programs, including a community conservatory in Lawndale,

in-school training of teachers and students, and the Chicago-wide music appreciation program One Score, One Chicago. The newest education effort is the REACH Orchestra, a student-training orchestra at Hibbard Elementary School based on the El Sistema orchestral

education plan devised in Venezuela, which is a system of total immersion in music study. These programs, under the umbrella REACH*TEACH*PLAY, serve more than 75,000 people throughout the region.
