Triad Stage, in partnership with UNC Greensboro, brings to life one of Broadway's most iconic musicals.
The world is at war, and on an island in the South Pacific the U.S. has created a military stopover for young men on their way to the front lines of battle. But love is also in the air. Emotions run high as a Midwestern nurse and a young lieutenant each navigate the treacherous waters of unfamiliar cultures and new romances.
Winner of the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific will sweep you away with the delightful cast of characters and unforgettable songs like "Bali Ha'i", "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair," and "Younger Than Springtime." Triad Stage invites you to be part of its most ambitious production to date.
The cast will feature Kristin Wetherington (Parade at Finger Lakes) as Nellie Forbush, Dan Callaway (Phantom of the Opera) as Emile De Becque, Lulu Picart (Disenchanted) as Bloody Mary, Will Branner (October Sky at Old Globe) as Lt. Joseph Cable, Hannah Kevitt as Liat, Brian Michael Hoffman (Seussical) as Billis, James LaRosa (Saturday Night Fever) as Stewpot, Michael Tourek (Ozark) as Cptn. Brackett, Taylor Murphy Hale as Comm. Harbison, and Adrian Thornburg as Professor.
Rounding out the cast are Jeff Aguiar, Georgia Anderson, Nigel Anderson, Noah Auten, Anthony Cataldo, Toni DePaoli, Ben Fernando, Deanna Gowland, Dan Jenkins, Bailey Gray Keith, Ayden Lowe, Jacob Luck, Bradley McBride, Calvin Noble, Drew Norris, Jack Pearson, Nick Relos, Stephanie Schroeder, Will Stapleton, and Anna Weatherwax.
Founding Artistic Director Preston Lane will direct the production, with music direction by Justin P. Cowan, choreography by Sara Tourek, and stage managed by Whitney Keeter. Casting by Cindi Rush.
South Pacific runs from Sunday, Sept. 17 to Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Triad Stage's Pyrle Theatre. Tickets can be purchased online at www.triadstage.org, by phone at 336-272-0160, or by visiting the Box Office at 232 South Elm Street in Greensboro.
