The Treehouse Acting Company that was founded by Abby Corrigan and Matt Mitchell for young artists interested in all aspects of theatre, is looking for a few more young people to participate in their Theatre Camp/Show Experience the week of July 18-24, 2011. Their company is an official 501C3 non profit theatre company for young people.

The actors are already in rehearsals for their next show, A TREE WITH ARMS by James Saba, but we are looking for young people that would be interested in the backstage technical end of the theatre, such as Set, Lighting, Sound, Costumes, Props and Stage Management.

The way this is structured is that TECH WEEK (which is the week leading up to the shows, July 18-24th) will be like a theatre tech summer camp. We will go from 9am-5pm Monday - Friday and then the kids involved will also attend the shows to work backstage.

There are 4 shows: Friday 7/22 at 7pm; Saturday 7/23 at 2pm & 7pm and Sunday 7/24 at 1pm. The camp/tech week fee is $200. The kids must be able to attend the entire week and the 4 show times.

The camp will take place at C.A.S.T. NoDa. This is their NEW theatre space which is located in the rear of the same building that Amelie's French Bakery is in. It is a fantastic space!

The week will consist on hands on experience with all aspects of technical theatre....helping with set build, painting, costuming, props, running light board, sound board and stage management.

So if you would be interested in learning and experiencing what goes on behind the scenes in theatre, we would LOVE to have you sign up!

Visit the website to learn more about the company at www.treehouseactingcompany.com or email mitzicorrigan@mac.com for registration form.

Its going to be an exciting show/experience for all of these young people!
