The holidays are here, and families looking for a cool new way to enjoy it, just might want to check out the Storybook Theater production of Frosty the Snowman, A New Musical. This new adaptation of the beloved William Francis holiday classic is being produced by Broadway Series South and features a local cast of talented actors

The show runs November 29th through December 24th at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. A great family value tickets start at just $14 and are on sale now!

The Storybook Theater production of Frosty tells the tale of Frosty the Snowman who comes to life with a new spin. The show's premise centers on an actual person who portrays the role of Frosty. Jonathan Cobrda plays the role and brings this lovable and iconic character to life in a way that audiences are sure to adore. His facial gestures give Frosty the life and soul that is sure to melt the hearts of children and adults alike. This is the story of Billy, an orphan, whose letter to Santa Claus is for a home and a family; not toys or material things. It's Christmas Eve and Santa is VERY busy so when he gets Billy's letter, he enlists the help of good ol' Frosty the Snowman to assist him in making Billy's Christmas wish come true. While the tale may be new audiences will take delight in familiar holiday carols such as "Santa Claus in Coming to Town", "Up on the Housetop", and "Ding, Dong Merrily On High" in addition to many more.

According to the show's Director Alan Coats, there is no better time of year to reconnect with the inner child in us all than the holiday season. "The best thing about seeing Frosty The Snowman, A New Musical is there's nothing like seeing something through the eyes of a child. Frosty is that magical story that allows parents to revisit their own childhood memories while also experiencing it in a new way through the children of today. Hopefully we've incorporated enough special moments in the show that everyone's hearts will be touched in some way."

In line with other Storybook Theater Productions the show, which benefits Marbles Kids Museum, is designed with families in mind and runs one hour and thirty minutes, including intermission. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts Box Office, Ticketmaster or by calling 800-745-3000.
