If you have ever experienced the ghastly terror of a night at SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt, be warned, with a NEW sinister maze, a new eerie scare zone, a disturbing new show, and double the monsters, all you fear is here! Sixteen nights of terror await guests during SCarowinds' tenth frightening season at Carowinds.

Carowinds' popular Halloween event will grow even bigger in 2009 as it debuts three new attractions and over 450 monsters lurking throughout the Park, including a select assembly of ghoulish leaders known as the Scare Force, seeking to haunt guests as they trek through the midways.

You may be lucky enough to brave through the legends of sinister monsters to find the three NEW attractions debuting this fall! First, find yourself wandering through what was once a fun, scenic summer camp where memories were made, but thanks to some unfortunate "accidents", it seems the charm has faded in the new SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt maze ? Camp Killauee! Then, populated by twisted tikes and killer kiddies, the Playground is one scare zone that should be traversed only by the most daring souls. Finally, the new "Halloween Homecoming" live show will send guests into a singing and dancing Halloween frenzy as haunted tunes of yesterday are brought to life.

The premier Halloween event of the Carolinas features eight horrific haunted mazes and three scare zones, and, as always, SCarowinds presents a sizeable collection of rides with a twist, daring you to climb aboard in total darkness! The entire park atmosphere will be transformed with an eerie glow as SCarowinds comes to life causing guests to frequently look over their shoulder for fear that they are forever being watched!

"With three new attractions, more monsters, and extended hours, SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt will surely live up to its reputation as the premier Halloween event in the Carolinas," said Bart Kinzel, Carowinds' Vice President and General Manager. "All you fear is here at SCarowinds and we look forward to giving you the fright of your life!"

SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt is set to terrify guests on select nights this fall from 7 p.m. till midnight: Sept. 25-26, Oct. 2-3, 9-11, 16-19, 23-26, and 29-31. New for 2009, October 24 and 31 will operate from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. SCarowinds is rated PG-13 and is not recommended for young children.
