Film Actors' Studio of Charlotte is registering for the Subtextual Film Acting Class, a beginning acting class starting Aug. 29. Taught by Lon Bumgarner, this eight-week class is a foundational study in acting (in front of a camera or on stage). Cameras are used to record students' progress and to be able to explain what is going on in their performances.

Lon is a director and producer whose credits include 2004's Tackle Box and Alex (2005). He has taught hundreds of students as a professor of acting at UNCC.

The class starts Aug. 29, from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. at Corrigan & Johnston CastingStudio and costs $250.

To register, visit www.filmactorsstudio.net or call 704 458 4478.
