"In charting the social fall and moral rise of Undine Barnes Calles... Fabulation subverts its comic and sentimental glibness with punchy social insights and the firecracker snap of unexpected humor." -New York Times.

Written by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, Fabulation or the Re-Education of Undine won Nottage a 2005 Obie Award and is a stinging satire that remarks on the state of black American identity in telling the humbling story of Undine Barnes Calles. Undine, the reigning PR diva of Manhattan for the nouveau Negro riche, has her world turned on its diamond studded ear when she is bled dry by her fabulous Argentinean husband Hervé. Will Undine be able to stare down the faces she climbed over on her way to the top when she is forced back to her native Walt Witman projects in Brooklyn, U.S.A.?
