LITTLE GIRL BLUE is a Concert Drama inspired by the life of Nina Simone & her youthful self, Eunice Waymon. LITTLE GIRL BLUE features 3 characters, Nina, Eunice & the Piano, in tangled furious interactions, both heart-warming & heart-wrenching. LITTLE GIRL BLUE takes us on a journey, a tale, a story, a jibe between Nina & Eunice that threads & trashes 20 songs from Nina Simone's repertoire, quilting Bach, Blues, Chopin, Pop, Brahms & Jazz, interluded with passionate dialogue, barefoot stomps & sways, lovelife silhouettes, freedom marches & baptisms that don't stop until the mix milieu is through with you & Nina & Eunice are one again. LITTLE GIRL BLUE dauntingly exhumes our daily conversations between who we were & what we have become; seeking settlement between dreams & dreams deferred, traipsing behind the footsteps that print our paths, least & most taken. "How much of me am I still? How much of me is still becoming? How much of me is ... still?"
