Presented by Blumenthal Performing Arts, the 11th Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party is FREE and open to the public. WBTV news anchor Kristen Miranda will emcee. Doors open at 7 p.m. The pre-show presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. and the live telecast will begin promptly at 8 p.m.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will host the ceremony, which will also feature performances by the musicals nominated for Best Musical, including "An American in Paris," "Something Rotten," "Fun Home" and "The Visit."

This year's Tony Awards promises to be a star-studded event showcasing and honoring Broadway's best. Film and stage star Bradly Cooper is among the notables nominated for Best Actor in a Play this year for his role in "The Elephant Man," while Chita Rivera, who performed live at McGlohon this past February, is a nominee for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in "The Visit." Rock icon Sting is also a nominee for Best Original Score for his musical "The Last Ship."

Charlotte fans can enjoy watching all the festivities on the big screen at McGlohon. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be available. Prize bags themed after upcoming PNC Broadway Lights shows will be raffled off including show tickets and prizes generously donated by businesses in the Charlotte area. Broadway fans will get a closer look at the shows nominated as well as learn more about the shows headed to Charlotte in the 2015-16 PNC Broadway Lights season. One of Blumenthal 's genuine Tony Awards will be on display for photo opportunities on the red carpet.

This yearly event has become a staple in Charlotte's community of Broadway fans, drawing a large number of viewers for the past 10 years. To learn more about the free Tony Awards Viewing Party visit BlumenthalArts.org.
