Lizzie Medlin Stars in Piedmont Players' THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR., Beg. Tonight

Piedmont Players Theatre introduces the cast of THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR., with Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, Music by Alan Menken and Book by Doug Wright. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen Story and the Disney Film produced by Howard Ashman & John Musker, and written & directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Producing Partners: F&M Bank and The Salisbury Community Foundation.

The show runs tonight, July 11-13 & 18-20 at 7:30pm; Matinees: July 13-14 & 20 at 2:30pm. Box Office opens Monday, July 8th (Adults $12 Seniors/Students $10).

In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she's the girl with the enchanting voice.

Adapted from Disney's 2008 Broadway production, The Little Mermaid was nominated for 2 Tonys and a Grammy. The 1989 Disney animated fantasy musical won 2 Academy Awards, 4 Golden Globes and 2 Grammy Awards.. The musical features the hit songs "Part of Your World," "She's in Love," and the Oscar-winning "Under the Sea"
