Kathleen Schultz & Haven Wilson to Speak at Spirit Square, 3/22

Linda Ann Watt, Acting Instructor and Member of Corlin Productions has invited two industry professionals to speak-Haven Wilson, Co-Founder of the Charlotte Film Community, followed by Los Angeles, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Franchised Agent, Kathleen Schultz of Kathleen Schultz Associates on Thursday, March 22, 2012, 7:00-10:00PM at Spirit Square, 345 North College St., 3rd Floor, Studio A.

There will be a seminar with scene critique for those pursuing a career in acting. Topics include what is needed to be a professional actor, headshots, resumes, getting a reel, union eligibility, breakdowns, pilot season, film projects coming to the area, working in L.A., NY, Atlanta and the Carolinas with Q & A.

Haven Wilson and Juli Emmons both actors, met on the set of Insignificant Others. They saw a need to have an organization in Charlotte where like minds could gather. They launched The Charlotte Film Community. Its mission is to "Meet, Create & Grow film in Charlotte!" The organization has over 800 members. Actors, directors, writers and other industry professionals have collaborated on projects through the Charlotte Film Community.

Kathleen Schultz has been an agent in Los Angeles for 25 years. She was nominated by Watt and voted "SAG Agent of the Month" nationally in September. Schultz represents adults and youth for film, television, theater, and all ages for commercials.

Schultz launched the careers of several actors including Lorenzo Lamas, Emilio Estevez and Nicholas Brendon, of "TV Buffy" fame. Her clients have recently appeared in True Grit, Friends with Benefits, Burt Wonderstone, in recurring roles on Justified, The Office, Private Practice, Criminal Minds, Pretty Little Liars, Days of Our Lives, and the untitled pilot, The DAN FOGELMAN Project.
