Coming this November to the Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage, The Hound of the Baskervilles promises audiences a thrilling, hilarious, and nimble retelling of the classic crime novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle starring the iconic Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. In this production, three actors work in tandem to portray over 15 characters with lightning fast precision and delightful comedic timing. Whirling through the fog-shrouded moors of England, The Hound of the Baskervilles recounts the tale of an attempted murder interwoven with the local legend of truly fearsome and supernatural beast. Running from November 2nd to 17th on the historic Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage, The Hound of the Baskervilles guarantees a lively evening of mystery, wit, and adventure.
The Hound of the Baskervilles will feature Flat Rock Favorite Preston Dyar, as well as both David Lind and Larry Daggett (Sherlock). Preston Dyar has previously appeared this year in Clue: The Musical! and The Love List. David Lind previously appeared at the Flat Rock Playhouse in Amadeus and The Importance of Being Earnest. Larry Daggett will make his Flat Rock Playhouse debut.
The Hound of the Baskervilles will be directed by Jim Helsinger. Adam Goodrum will serve as Production Manager. Dennis Maulden, CJ Barnwell, Ashli Crump, and Will Burns will serve as Scenic, Lighting, Costume, and Sound Design respectively. Bill Muñoz serves as Stage Manager with Chelsie Kolarik as Assistant Stage Manager. Cassidy Bowles will be designing the properties.
The Hound of the Baskervilles is presented by Opening Night Sponsor BMW of Asheville, Mainstage Series Sponsor Henderson County Tourism Development Authority, Transportation Sponsor Hunter Subaru, and Downtown Series Sponsor Rug and Home.
The Hound of the Baskervilles will run from November 2nd to 17th at The Flat Rock Playhouse MainStage in Flat Rock. Performances Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, Friday at 8:00 PM, Saturday at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and Sunday at 2:00 PM.
