With a cast of teen-aged actors, director Wrenn Goodrum re-imagines Shakespeare's greatest comedy for a generation of youth and takes the Shakespeare production into the world of 1969 Woodstock! This adaptation of Twelfth Night promises to thrill and enchant audiences and is part of DCP's Shakespeare Unplugged Series.
This unique adaptation will be offered to the public one weekend only from Friday, September 19th thru Sunday, September 21st. Performances will be held at the Armour Street Theatre in Davidson and are free to the community. "The Shakespeare Unplugged workshop is an exciting and unique way to introduce Shakespeare to the community," stated DCP's education coordinator, Katie Williams. "This production is the culmination of a six-week workshop in which performers studied the Shakespeare language and how it is used in Twelfth Night to help shape the costumes, set, lighting and props." Katie adds, "With a 1960's setting, this is going to be a fun twist on Shakespeare."Videos
