DC2 Productions is holding auditions for Don Cook's new comedy, Fast Trip To Omaha. The play is set in 1969 when rock-and-roll and the love-generation had taken over most of the nation --- but not one Omaha home where jazz still is king, and family secrets are still kept locked away from the world - and from each other. Until now.
Auditions will be at
The Warehouse Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Cornelius from 7 - 9 PM on Monday, May 24th. If you can't make it but would like to audition, please call Marla Brown at 704.619.0429 or email Don Cook at oakparkdon@aol.com and schedule an appointment.
Fast Trip To Omaha will run at
The Warehouse PAC from July 22 - August 8, 2010.
Divina Cook will be the director.
Roles Available
DC2 Productions is looking for actors to fill two - and possibly three - of the five roles in the script. Here's the breakdown.
Two male roles:
SCOTT - 35 - 40. Ex-jock now a corporate writer who dresses like a hippie when he's not with clients.
EDDIE - 60-70. Retired bank manager; once played trumpet in a jazz band. Has a silly side hiding beneath a grouchy façade.
One female role available:
CONNIE - 60-70. Former band singer; now a homemaker; feisty, fun; carries the deepest secret of all. (tentatively pre-cast but still open to auditions)
The Warehouse PAC is located at: 9216-A Westmoreland Rd., off Highway 21, Cornelius. (approximately 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte) Questions or additional information, call Marla Brown at 704.619.0429.
