Children's Theatre of Charlotte is seeking to fill three House Manager positions to work part-time for the entire 2009-2010 season, ending in May 2010. House Managers must have experience in delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. It is preferable that candidates have work experience in dealing with the public.
We are looking for individuals who would like to commit to the following positions:
School Performance House Manager
Tuesdays through Fridays, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (schedule will vary based on performance schedule).
Public Performance House Manager
Saturdays and Sundays based on performance schedule, including some evenings and some days. Earliest events begin at 9:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturdays. We are looking for individuals who can commit to a flexible weekend schedule that will vary from week to week.
School/Public Performance House Manager
Combination of weekdays, evenings and weekends based on performance schedule. We are looking for an individual who can fill in as needed during the week and on weekends. Requires some flexibility in scheduling. Generally, this House Manager will be needed for Monday school performances, Weekday evening performances, Friday evening performances, and Weekends.
The Audience Services Coordinator will plan schedules in advance and collaboratively with the House Managers. Scheduling is based on performance schedules and ticket sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works as a member of the Audience Services and Box OffIce Team, to deliver quality customer servIce To the audiences of Children's Theatre of Charlotte.
Oversees front-of-house personnel, e.g. volunteer ushers.
Verifies the hours worked by front-of-house personnel for recordkeeping purposes.
Coordinates ticket taking process with the ushers, taking into account the needs of the Box Office.
Supervises cleanliness and sanitary conditions of audience areas
Ensure compliance with safety and fire laws in audience areas and enforces house rules
Oversees special customer services, directing audience members to water, restrooms and phones.
Coordinates curtain time with Stage Manager
Handles special customer problems regarding seating, disruptions and emergencies
Checks all audience areas before and after performance
Supports the Executive Director in fulfilling the Mission Statement and Core Values of Children's Theatre of Charlotte.
Arriving 1 1/2 hours before show starts.
Other duties as assigned.
