For more than 30 years, Children's Theatre has provided some of the best Summer Camps in the region, and that tradition returns in June. Offering a wide variety of classes at three convenient locations for children as young as kindergarten, these weeklong classes introduce students to a variety of creative exploration and fun.

Teens can also enjoy the summer with CTC, immersing themselves in training led by professional teaching artists.

Among the camps offered in June are:

Rising 3rd-7th graders get into the act with Musical Mystery Performance Camps. Choose between Musical Mystery: Who Dun It? at UNCC (June 18-22) or at ImaginOn (June 25-29). Characters from "The Wizard of Oz," "Peter Pan," Dr. Seuss, "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Little Mermaid" play detectives as they track down the torch from the Oomp-a-lympics that's been stolen by the greedy giant. It's their job to follow the giant's trail through Munchkinland, Neverland, Wonderland, Under the Sea and into Whoville to save the day. Campers get to be a part of this musical "who dun it" adventure, complete with singing, dancing and, of course, a happy ending.

For the younger set, rising K-2nd graders get the spotlight at Once Upon a Time (Charlotte Latin, June 25-29). Campers join in the fun for some outrageous princess and knightly tales. Exploring movement, drama, music and art, students are sure to end the week "happily ever after."

For teens: Summer is the best time to check out theatre training at Children's Theatre of Charlotte. From Musical Theatre with training that connects choreography, acting and singing in solo, group and ensemble opportunities, to Improv and Comedy that helps actors to learn to think on their feet, understand comic timing and hone important improvisational techniques, there is something this summer for everyone.

Camps are $225-$275 per week, and scholarships are available for qualifying families. Our professional Teaching Artists are the best in town – at ImaginOn and at our satellite locations – and we run an organized, safe Summer Camp experience from drop-off to pick-up.

For these camps and more visit the website for details. Registration is open at ctcharlotte.org or by calling our Customer Sales and Service Center at 704-973-2828.
