Opening next week on the Main Stage: September 10 - October 3:

Terrence McNalley's love letter to opera legend Maria Callas
MASTER CLASS
Tony Award - Best Play 1996

Cynthia Farbman stars as Maria Callas.

Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST) opens its season this fall with MASTER CLASS, Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally's dramatic ode to opera diva Maria Callas. An international celebrity, La Divina Callas was adored by her fans and was the subject of constant media attention, including gossip about her jet-set life with the wealthy Greek ship-owner Aristotle Onassis. McNally weaves brilliant theater into the setting of master classes conducted by the now legendary Callas, who meditates on her life and art with an ecstatic mix of soliloquies, reveries and recitals. Rich, vivid, satisfying theater, MASTER CLASS provides electric, honest, passionate and often cruel lessons.
