CPCC Theatre to Kick Off 2016-17 Season with 1776: THE MUSICAL

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Theatre is excited to kick off its 2016-2017 performance season with "1776: The Musical," September 23 to October 2, in its Pease Auditorium.

It's the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence, if only its founding fathers can agree to do it! "1776" follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, and Richard Henry Lee and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.

Performances run September 23, 24, 29, 30 and October 1 at 7:30 p.m. and September 25 and October 2 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pease Auditorium on CPCC's Central Campus, Pease Lane, Charlotte, NC.

Individual tickets are $20 and a $10 ticket is available for children under 15 with the purchase of an adult ticket. College and high school students who have a valid student I.D. can purchase a $5 ticket. Tickets may be purchased online at tix.cpcc.edu, at the CPCC Box Office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday or by calling 704.330.6534.
