AUDITION BOOTCAMP Class Offered 3/14-3/16

Lon Bumgarner, principal instructor at the Film Actors' Studio, will be offering his signature Audition Bootcamp this coming month, over three intensive weekday evening sessions: March 14, 15 and 16 (Mon-Tue-Weds) from 7-10 p.m. each night.

If you've never taken this bootcamp before, ask anyone who has-- it's invaluable. For those who have-- this is a chance to refresh your audition chops with all-new scripts (i.e. none repeated from previous Bootcamps).

You will get a multitude of scripts from all genres-- features, commercials, TV, Industrial, webcasts, Indie features-- with varying times to memorize the lines, from an hour or a day to read, to cold-read. You will be coached on and go through the audition experience for each, learning how to present to casting directors and auditioning in front of rolling cameras, followed by group discussion sessions for each genre with analysis of how you did while watching tape (and you get to watch same for all your classmates, learning from them too) for each one. The tapes are yours to take home.

It's exhausting, intensive, and will make you sweat-- but you'll increase your knowledge of and comfort with the audition process a hundredfold. (Hence, "Bootcamp.") This is usually only offered once or twice a year, so-- take advantage of it!
